Guidelines Applicant’s Photograph and Signature, Thumb Impression and MINOR Applicant

From here you will know that which photo is worth putting in the PAN card or not, as well as where the signature has to be done, 

if you are making a PAN card with the thumb, then whether the thumb will have to be verified by a government official or not, for all the questions. see below to get answer

Applicant’s Photograph Guidelines

Dos


1. The photograph should be a passport size photograph.

2. The photograph should be CLEARLY visible and of good quality.

3. The photograph should be colored.

4. The photograph should be pasted vertically within the given boxes on top left & right corners of the form.

5. Both photographs should be same.

6. Background of the photograph should be Plain – Preferably light coloured (White background). Studio click photograph

Don’t


1. Don’t accept the application, If photograph not in said size.

2. Don’t accept the application, If photograph is out of focus, has spots on the photograph and not visible properly.

3. Don’t accept the application. If black & white photographs pasted on application.

4. Don’t accept the application. If not pasted properly in the given boxes.

5. Don’t accept the application. If photographs are not same.

6. Don’t accept the application. If photograph is background is not plain. Avoid red background.


Guidelines on Applicant’s Signature, Thumb Impression and  MINOR applicant


1. Signatures should be placed within Signature Box.

2. In Case of Minor aapplicant, Either Parents or Guardian (Representative Assesse (R A)) Signatures should be available in the given boxes.

3. In case of Minor applicant, only Date of Birth proof of minor applicant is required. Identity Proof and Residence Proof has to be of Either Parents or Guardian Don’t accept the application, if Minor applicant’s ID proof is attached.

4. All thumb impressions has to be attested by 1st Class Gazetted officer.

Don’t


1. Don’t accept the application. If signatures touches or crossed the box boundary lines.

2.  Don’t accept the application. If application is signed by the minor.

3. Don’t accept the application, if Minor applicant’s ID proof is attached.

4. Don’t accept the application. If thumb impression not be attested from 1st Class Gazetted officer.
